I enjoyed this panel which was to go high up in a brand new kitchen in a west-facing wall, which immediately made me think of spectacular sunset colours. Here is the lovely feedback from my clients: “Stella was just brilliant from start to finish. We were “stained glass novices”, with an idea of what we wanted,
Some traditional panels to go in a door
A panel created to complement “The Pyramids” which my client had designed herself and had executed by Lady Bay Art Glass. This is the English version with the watery skies and lush greens and browns. There is even some screen painted detail front left.
This was a great project, recently finished. The challenge was to design for a situation with no natural light but by selecting the glass carefully in the actual environment my client and I found some beautiful glass which glows and sparkles from the light shining onto it. The trickiest thing is to photograph it effectively
An experiment with layers of glass, 3 layers in this small corner of a vast forest.
One of my more eccentric ideas, a stained glass tower – surely that’d be a really practical place to live don’t you think? What could possibly go wrong?
Sherwood Art Week was an inspiration to me. I got round to making a few of the things I wanted to make, just for me and for others to enjoy. Like this plucky inspirational figure breathing beauty into my life whenever I spot him, nicely framed on some rich green grass!
