Black miner window

I spent a good chunk of lockdown making this intricate panel, to be part of a touring exhibition celebrating the contribution of so many black miners in UK, including in Nottingham where I live. Also referencing the miners continuing to work around the world still today, often in dangerous conditions, to provide the commodities to fuel this world! This guy is a respected worker with responsibility for the blue pot of gunpowder in his hand. He represents people from 1950’s and 60’s leaving sunnier lands to make the trek over here.
